Have taken clients here on a few occasions but decided to celebrate my recent birthday a few days ago. Had an excellent dinner and enjoyed a nice conversation with the owner/manager. Some people cite the prices as being a tad high but dining here is a bargain compared to what one would experience across the Hudson. Do yourself a favor and drop through and enjoy yourself.

My go to restaurant when I want a delicious dinner in a classy restaurant. Great service ,great atmosphere ,and fantastic food ! And they have parking. I love the halibut , another new favorite is the tortellini with vodka sauce. If I was home I would lick the plate it was that good. ;). Just saying.

High-end Italian in the heart of Jersey City. Pricey but the foods are amazingly delicious. Need to go back for their famous Lamb shank!

A group of East Asians being discriminated against. We booked a table for 5, and were offered a small booth table when the entire restaurant was almost empty. The manager who sat us down said,“ I thought the ladies would enjoy this as you all look very petite.”

We then asked for a bigger round table right next to us that’s sort of in the center of the restaurant, the manager wouldn’t offer it quoting it is reserved only for parties of 6. We insisted on changing the table, especially when the place is 90% empty. The manager then offered a round table that is right next to the entrance. We declined.

Then we saw the table we wanted right next to us being filled with a party of 5 — all caucasians. The manager’s explanation to me was that they’ve specifically reserved that table (out of probably 10+ big round tables in the entire restaurant) and that one guest couldn’t make it.

What happened next was even better: The manager offered to move us to another bigger round table that’s far away from the entrance. (And trust me there were a few big round tables far away from the entrance available for the entire night.) I fail to understand why these weren’t available for us earlier.

Our server was also a funny guy. He came in to serve us with an assumption that none of us could understand their menu, and that he was ready to feel like a person in a higher class as he cared not to explain in detail the questions I had about wines & dishes.

Overall it was an amusing experience. Just be on the lookout for discriminative attitude if you look like East Asian when you dine there.

The food is mediocre comparing to most fine dining Italian restaurants in Manhattan, however the price is a bit better.

We had lunch here a few times on weekdays. It had a high ceiling, white tablecloths, and nice decor. Service was very friendly and attentive.

The fried calamari appetizer was generous in portion size and the clam special was rich and flavorful. For entrees, we had tried the panko crusted halibut, slow roasted lamb shank, braised short ribs, and shrimp scampi. All were good, but the lamb shank was our favorite, especially when you were hungry.

Their wine menu was not too overwhelming and had enough choices either by glass or bottle. The pricing was very reasonable.

Overall, you got lots of good food for a fair price (for the same dish, lunch price was better than dinner's).
